The actor/director was in the René Clair's film " It Happened Tomorrow " in 1944 where he played the part of a journalist who had the gift to know what was going to occur the next day, having so the scoop before his colleagues and his rivals. This gift was regretably only cinema because it would indeed have to served him while he left on the set in the Nevada's desert to shoot a part of his film " The Conqueror ". He is henceforth burried in Forrest Lawn's cemetery on the Hill of Hollywood, California where sleep for a long time numerous celebrities. He was married during ten years to the axtress Joan Blondell who died from a leukaemia on December 25, 1979.
Will follow the actor Pedro Armendariz Sr to whom the doctors will learn that he has not more than some months to live affected by a lymph's cancer (colorless liquid which bathes the skin and the organs). The one who played the vizier of " Captain Sindbad " with Guy Aye ! caramba !Williams (Zorro) in 1963 lived above his means and had more or less ruined himself. He played a last role so that his wife draws the stamp in inheritance and was the unforgettable Kerim Bey in the 2nd James Bond with Sean Connery in " From Russia With Love ". During the shooting the cancer affects his legs and does him to limp, but he remains deserving and doesn't show it on screen. The director Terence Young will turn his scenes first and foremost, Armendariz arriving in terminal phase at the end of the shooting. Less than two weeks after the locking up of the film, Pedro Armendariz Sr is hospitalized in the UCLA Medical Center of Los Angeles. There, on June 18, 1963, on his hospital bed, he shoots him a bullet in full heart to finish himself his life at 51 years old only. His son, Pedro Armendariz Jr, will honour him by interpreting Hector Lopez's role, dictator, in the 17th James Bond " Licence To Kill " on which he will be also assistant of production and 3rd assistant director.
